Rohleder
(Ratsky), Russia was founded on June 14, 1766 with a population of 46
families, 111 males and 97 females totaling 208 souls.
1798 Census Records:
This colony lies in the district of the gubernia city of Saratav, at a
distance of 40 versts, on the meadow side of the Volga River, along Bolshoy
Karaman Creek. There are 103 male inhabitants and 116 females, totalling
219 souls comprising 36 families of the Catholic faith. They have their
own church, but have never had a priest, although one was requested long ago and
is sorely necessary. The colonies bordered by those of the colonies of
Herzog, Graf, Schaefer, and Urbach.
