The Kansas Round-Up of Chapters was organized to bring the Kansas Chapters of the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia (A.H.S.G.R) membership in closer contact and to provide a fuller understanding of AHSGR.  Here those Kansas representatives who serve on the AHSGR Board of Directors bring back to the Kansas Chapters a yearly report of the Societies activities, especially those who are not able to make the International Conventions each year. 

Each Spring those Board Members from the Kansas Round-Up meet in Salina to prepare for the coming years Round-Up.  Dates are set, programs planned and banquet meal and choice of speakers are discussed.  Each Chapter takes a turn in hosting the Round-Up by rotation.

The Kansas Round-up Board brings a variety of speakers and activities to the meetings each year.  The activities cover:

GENEALOGY: VC's (Village Coordinators) who are active in the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia present a different array of topics such as:

FOLKLORE: A variety of speakers are brought in to discuss different aspects of our German from Russia Folklore.  Some of these items include:

SPEAKERS: Speakers are brought in to speak either during the day activities and the evening banquet.  These speakers speak on a variety of issues that relate the the Germans from Russia.  We have had the opportunity to even hear from those who came to the country as a child, or found family members still living in Russia.
